CANADA GIFT CARD BALANCE GUIDE
Check a WestJet physical or eGift Card balance using the official card-number and access-code checker, then review activation timing, redemption restrictions, troubleshooting and card eligibility.
Physical cards show the card number and PIN on the back. eGift Cards provide the number and access code through the delivery-email link.
Enter the confirmed balance to preview a general CAD estimate. WestJet’s published terms state that its gift cards cannot be resold, so the card may be ineligible for a third-party cashout review.
OFFICIAL BALANCE CHECK
WestJet provides a dedicated online balance inquiry for activated physical and electronic gift cards.
CARD DETAILS
The required credentials depend on whether the card is physical or delivered electronically.
WestJet gift cards are issued in Canadian dollars, do not expire, are fully transferable and are not reloadable. Online bookings generally accept one gift card plus one eligible payment card. Cards cannot be used at the airport or onboard.
COMMON PROBLEMS
Try these WestJet-specific checks before assuming the card has no remaining value.
Wait through WestJet’s activation and fraud-screening period, which may take up to 48 hours after purchase or shipping.
Re-enter the number and access code exactly as shown and confirm that the card has not been depleted or deactivated.
Confirm that the itinerary is operated by WestJet or WestJet Encore. Partner-airline flights and certain fees are not eligible.
WestJet treats gift cards like cash and states that lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed stored value is not replaced.
IMPORTANT ELIGIBILITY NOTICE
WestJet’s published terms prohibit resale. You may submit the original card for a verification-first eligibility review, but restricted or ineligible cards may be declined.
