Where to Find Your Air Canada Card Information

The official checker requires the unique gift-card number and the PIN connected to the card.

  • Find the unique card number on the physical card or eGift Card delivery.
  • Use the PIN printed or revealed with the card credentials.
  • Enter each value exactly as displayed.
  • Do not enter a booking reference, ticket number or Aeroplan number.

Physical cards and eGift Cards differ

Physical Air Canada Gift Cards may be accepted at eligible airport locations, while eGift Cards cannot be redeemed at airport locations. Both can be used through eligible Air Canada online and call-centre channels.

Air Canada Gift Card Balance Troubleshooting

The card is not recognized

Confirm the gift card was activated and re-enter the card number and PIN exactly as displayed.

The checker shows no value

A card with a depleted balance may have been deactivated. Review prior purchases and refunds before trying again.

The booking uses another currency

Air Canada may convert between Canadian and U.S. dollars when the website currency differs from the gift-card currency.

The payment will not complete

Air Canada permits a maximum of two forms of payment on a booking and does not allow multiple card balances to be consolidated onto one card.
