How to Check an Uber or Uber Eats Gift Card Balance
Uber uses an account-redeem flow rather than a public card-number balance checker. The available value is shown in Wallet after the gift code is added to the account.
Redeem in the Uber Eats app
- Open the latest version of the Uber Eats app.
- Select Account, then Wallet.
- Choose Add Payment Method, then Gift Card.
- Enter the gift code without spaces and add it to the account.
View the redeemed balance
- Return to the Wallet section.
- Look for the Uber Cash or Uber credits balance.
- The balance applies to eligible rides or Uber Eats orders.
- Any unused amount remains available for a later eligible purchase.

Where to Find the Uber Gift Code
Uber gift cards use one variable-length alphanumeric gift code. There is no separate card-number field and PIN field like many retail gift cards.
- On a physical card, reveal the covered gift-code area on the back or card carrier.
- For a digital Uber gift card, open the original delivery email and locate the gift code or redemption button.
- Uber may label the credential as a gift code or PIN/gift code; enter that one code without spaces.
- Do not enter an order number, receipt number, trip ID, promo code, phone verification code, or payment-card security code.
Redeeming locks the value to the account
After the code is added, the value becomes Uber Cash or Uber credits in that account. Uber states that the amount cannot be transferred to another account.

Try these Uber-specific checks before assuming the gift code has no value.
The gift code is rejected
Enter the code exactly as shown with no spaces. Check similar-looking letters and numbers, and make sure you are not entering an order number, promo code, or receipt reference.
The Uber Cash balance is missing
Confirm you are signed in to the same Uber account that redeemed the code. Close and reopen the app, then check Wallet again.
The gift card was purchased outside Canada
Uber gift cards are country and currency restricted. A Canada-issued card is intended for eligible use in Canada and cannot be transferred between countries.
The balance is too low for the full order or ride
Uber may ask for another gift code or a secondary payment method when the Uber Cash balance does not cover the full eligible charge.
