The online checker requires the full 20-digit card number and the card’s associated PIN.
- Find the 20-digit number on the back of the physical card.
- Locate the PIN in the card’s security area.
- For an eGift Card, use the original email rather than a screenshot.
- Do not enter an order number, receipt number or payment-card number.
Important redemption rules
LCBO and VINTAGES gift cards are redeemable at LCBO retail stores. They cannot currently be used for online purchases at LCBO.com or Vintages Shop Online. The cardholder must be at least 19 years old.

The card number is rejected
Confirm that the number contains all 20 digits and came directly from the gift card rather than an order confirmation or receipt.
The PIN does not work
Re-enter the PIN carefully and confirm that no digit was damaged or hidden in the card’s security area.
The card was recently purchased
Some physical cards ordered online may activate on the next business day after shipping. Bulk cards may require account-holder activation.
The card is lost or damaged
LCBO states that lost, stolen or damaged gift cards are not replaced. Keep the physical card and original eGift email secure.
