Where to Find the Costco Shop Card Number and PIN
Costco Shop Cards use a unique card number and a separate four-digit PIN.
- On a physical Shop Card, find the card number and PIN on the back; the PIN may be beneath a silver scratch-off security feature.
- For a Digital Costco Shop Card, use the card number and PIN shown through the email link.
- Enter only the Shop Card credentials—not a membership number, receipt number, order number, or credit-card number.
Physical and Digital Shop Cards differ
Physical Shop Cards can be reloaded at a Canadian warehouse and can be used at Costco gas stations and food courts. Digital Shop Cards cannot be used at gas stations, food courts, or self-checkout.

Try these Costco-specific checks before assuming the Shop Card has no remaining value.
The checker stops at reCAPTCHA
Complete the verification step, allow required scripts, and temporarily disable a VPN or aggressive privacy extension if Costco.ca cannot load the balance form.
The card number or PIN is rejected
Re-enter the unique Shop Card number and four-digit PIN exactly as shown. Do not substitute a Costco membership, receipt, or order number.
The Digital Shop Card email is missing
Check spam or junk folders for an email from [email protected]. Digital Shop Card delivery can take up to 24 hours.
The Shop Card is lost or stolen
Keep proof of purchase. Costco says it may replace the recorded remaining balance through Costco Wholesale Member Service at 1-800-463-3783.
