Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the GiftCardsForCash.ca website and services (the “Service”) operated by GIFT CARDS FOR CASH.CA LEGAL ENTITY NAME (“we”, “us”).

1) Eligibility

  • You must be the lawful owner of the gift card you submit.
  • You must be of the age of majority in your province/territory.
  • You must provide accurate information, including a valid payout email for Interac e-Transfer.

2) Service overview (verification-first)

The Service allows you to submit a gift card for verification. If approved, we may present a cashout offer. If you accept the offer, we will queue payout to your confirmed Interac e-Transfer email address, subject to these Terms.

3) Verification and approval

  • We may request additional details to verify ownership, confirm balance, and prevent fraud.
  • We may decline any submission for any reason, including suspected fraud, mismatched information, or risk signals.
  • We may change or withdraw an offer before acceptance if verification results change or new risk is identified.

4) Offers, acceptance, and restrictions

If your submission is approved, we may provide a cashout offer associated with a reference ID. Acceptance confirms you want us to proceed with payout based on the verified details.

After acceptance: You agree you will not redeem, spend, transfer, or otherwise impair the gift card balance. If the balance changes after acceptance (or if fraud is suspected), we may cancel payout and/or pursue recovery of funds.

5) Payouts

  • Payouts are issued via Interac e-Transfer to the payout email you confirm.
  • Typical payout timeframes may be displayed in our emails or on the website; however, timing is not guaranteed and may vary due to verification, fraud checks, or operational load.
  • You are responsible for ensuring your Interac e-Transfer email is correct and able to receive transfers.

6) Cancellations and declines

  • Before acceptance, you may choose to decline an offer (if available).
  • After acceptance, cancellation may not be possible once payout is initiated. Contact support immediately if you believe you made a mistake.
  • We may cancel or reverse a payout process if fraud or unauthorized activity is suspected, or if the gift card balance is impaired.

7) Prohibited activity

  • Submitting cards you do not own or are not authorized to transfer.
  • Providing false, misleading, or incomplete information.
  • Attempting to redeem/spend/transfer the card after acceptance.
  • Using the Service to facilitate fraud, money laundering, or other illegal activity.
  • Interfering with, abusing, or reverse-engineering the Service.

8) Fees and pricing

Offer rates vary by brand, type, and risk profile and may change at any time. Your confirmed payout amount is shown in the approved offer. You are not obligated to accept an offer.

9) No affiliation

GiftCardsForCash.ca is not affiliated with or endorsed by any gift card brand or issuer (e.g., Amazon, Walmart, etc.). Brand names are used only to identify eligible cards.

10) Disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee approval, availability, uninterrupted operation, or that verification will succeed for any submission.

11) Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the amount of the applicable accepted offer, if any, for the specific transaction giving rise to the claim.

12) Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, violation of these Terms, or submission of unauthorized or fraudulent gift cards.

13) Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand how we collect and use information.

14) Changes to the Service or Terms

We may modify the Service or these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted with a new effective date. Continued use of the Service means you accept the updated Terms.

15) Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of BRITISH COLUMBIA and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. You agree that disputes will be brought in the courts located in British Columbia, Canada, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
